- ✅ Beach, marina, castle and restaurants in one compact town
- ✅ Very family-friendly and walkable
When to go

The Drive — Scenic & Simple
From Marbella, join the A-7 east towards Fuengirola. Follow signs for Fuengirola Centro. It's a straight coastal route with sea views most of the way.
Prefer a calmer ride in peak summer traffic? Take the AP-7 toll road for part of the journey and exit towards Fuengirola.
What to See in Fuengirola
✅ Castillo Sohail
A historic hilltop castle by the river with panoramic sea views. Great photo spot and often hosts small events or concerts in the open-air amphitheatre.
✅ Paseo Marítimo Rey de España
About 7 km long — one of the longest promenades on the Costa del Sol. Perfect for walking, cycling, coffee stops and people-watching at any time of day.
✅ Puerto Deportivo de Fuengirola
Small but lively marina with waterfront restaurants and boat trips. A relaxed place for a cold drink with harbour views.
✅ Los Boliches Beach
Wide sandy beach with calm water and many chiringuitos (beach restaurants). Families love the gentle waves and nearby playgrounds.

One of the best small zoos in Spain — a recreated tropical habitat right in the town centre. Very popular with families and well-reviewed by visitors.
